现象：我的电脑(Win98系统)开机时总会出现下面这样一段错误的英文提示：fficeffice" />

The Windows registry or SYSTEM.INI file refers to this device file，but the device file no longer exists.

If you deleted this file or purpose，try uninstalling the associated application using its uninstall or setup program.

If you still want to use the application associated with this device file，try reinstalling that application to replace the missing file.

按提示任意按一键即可正常进入操作系统，虽然它不影响开机，但每次启动时都要出现这段提示让人感到不舒服，请问如何消除它？?

这段英文的大意是说无法从SYSTEM. INI找到一个名为IOS.VXD的文件，不过按下任意键后仍旧可以正常进入操作系统。如果你的耐心好一些，这个错误可以视而不见。当然，要消除它，办法也很简单，重新拷贝一个IOS.VXD文件过来即可，或者从SYSTEM.INI和注册表中将与IOS.VXD有关的项目或键值全部删除也可。

另外，我们也可以借助Windows的系统文件检查器从安装光盘上恢复该系统文件，注意有时简单地从另一系统将系统文件拷贝过来并不能解决问题。
